bio those who know me best call me holly browns. it took me 25 years to find photography, but once i found it, it stuck. i learned the craft through use of a film camera and darkroom, and though i shoot mainly digitally today, i attribute my deliberate process to those early practices of planning, processing and printing. my "edibles" portfolio has its roots in a photographic interpretation of faded childhood memories, many of which are food-based. beyond that, i find myself continually inspired by hand-crafted delicacies of local bakeries and gardens i cultivate and tend through the spring and summer months. my little defenders (evie night-night, charlie bear, and bo bearly) continue to inspire my ever-growing "four-footers" portfolio. i treasure the relationship we hold and am moved to capture glimpses of this bond, for myself and for others who are blessed to know this unconditional love.
